Many of these songs have appeared on other albums. Abbe wrote the words and music to all of them, with some lyrical help from Jonathan Ezekiel on "My Heart is all I Have," and "This One is Hot." Oliver Payne helped Abbe with "Cream Puff" lyrics
. Lyrics for "This is Your Valentine" were by Abbe Anderson, Oliver Payne and Jonathan Ezekiel. "This is Your Valentine" and "This One is Hot" are demos recorded in Nashville and sung by Sandi Kight. Abbe sang all the rest of these songs.
With three albums to her credit and a host of singles on compilations, Abbe's songs have received airplay throughout the United States. Her songwriting has won awards in three different genres. She was selected as a New Folk Finalist at the Kerrville Folk Festival in 1994. She won top honors in VOCAL's novelty song contest in 1995. Her Down to Earth CD was DECMA's album of the year. Its first cut, "Horse Sense" earned Abbe the Songwriter of the Year award from the Country Music Associations of America in 1996. In August 2000 she introduced Don't Tempt the Tigress. Original Songs, a compilation, was released in 2012.
