I first started listening to hip hop because of my cousin from New York. He lived with us for a couple years and was the main person who influenced me when it came to music. I was only 9 years old and already infatuated with the style and lyrical intelligence of hip hop in the early to mid nineties era. Since then I wanted to be a part of the hip hop culture.When I was a junior in high school, I bought my first pair of Numark turntables.
This was how I became a part of hip hop and contributed. I fell in love with scratching and became a dedicated scratch nerd. At the time I was also dabbling in other elements of hip hop like graffiti, rapping, and break dancing. Everything about the hip hop culture amazed me and also gave me an identity to who I was. After high school, I learned about producing from a friend I met in 2007. The rest is history. This was my calling and with the hip hop oriented foundation I've built for myself my whole life, producing instrumentals made me feel like more of an artist rather than a hobbyist. Hip hop is my art. Hip hop is my passion. Hip hop is my life.
