Luciano Andrew Maltosantos is an American rapper and songwriter of Mexican descent known simply as Luciano (pronounced Loo-SEE-ahn-o).
Luciano was born the youngest of three children to Flor Estela Abrego at the infamous Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas on August 2, 1985.
When Maltosantos was four-years-old, his mother died of cancer. She was 37.
With no presence of a father, Maltosantos and his brother were raised by aunt Guadalupe Abrego in the notorious Oak Cliff section of Dallas.
His estranged half-sister went on to be raised by her father.
Sadly, Maltosantos became accustomed to losing loved ones at an early age. By the age of thirteen, he had dealt with the death of his mother and both grandparents.
His first attempt at songwriting was at the age of ten. At fifteen, he declared a career in music his destiny.
Upon discovering his lyrical ability, he began rapping at age nineteen.
After recording numerous homemade records in 2005, Maltosantos vanished from the music scene.
In January 2010, he reappeared to be featured on DJ Gemstarr's 'Pyrex Vision: Cocaine Winter', a mixtape that featured 50 Cent, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes and many others.
Expected to be successful in the underground hip-hop scene, Maltosantos disappeared again in what he called an attempt to perfect his craft.
On January 1, 2013, Maltosantos resurfaced to release a demo version of 'Kill 'Em (With The Mic)'.
Now, at 28-years-old, his first EP, 'The Conception of an Enigma' is finally under production. It is expected to be released in 2014.
With contributions from various musical producers, Maltosantos will be the Executive Producer of the project.
