Perennials News: Perennials have demoed close to 30 songs for a 2012 fall release and have started to record again with different Producers in different studios. After recording and producing a number of albums in their own studio, the Ps are changing their recording environment, Chris says he'll be working in some Zappa-esque style guitar work, into the music and concentrate on the songs/performance, free from production duties. Perennials new release 'Wire-cutters' now available on Itunes 2012 Perennials Bio: Guitarist-songwriter Christopher T Wilson formed Perennials in 2001, with bassist Frank Segedi from 'Crimson Jimson' and his original 'Under Popularity' drummer Preston Boyd and started rockin out. Monica Wilson joined soon after for percussion, vocals and eye candy. Right from the start Perennial's shows were filled with a Nu-music fallout sound, audio experimentation and an eclectic energy as they created their own sonic brand of rock music. Burning fast and bright they crashed the 'Village' putting on tight shows, made friends at 'ARTOPIA' and went #1 at CFMU College Radio with their demos. An independent, Ps continue to create an impressive catalogue of music, through all of lifes changes. Some early Perennials recordings were done in a variety of studios across the United States with producer Mark Howard (Daniel Lanois, Feist) until building their own studio and imploding. A new band emerged in 2003 with Monica on drums and Edmond Harty on bass, rising through the burgeoning musical waste-field post millennium. Perennials play lots of local shows including Y108 Rock Search, the Spring Music Festival and the HMAs. In 2005 after spending 2 years as 'Chris County & the Invalids' playing garage rock, 'PERENNIALS' evolved into a rock-ambient four piece with the addition of 'Head Phone Over Tone' guitarist Daniel Winterman, produced the grand 'Alchemy Blues' LP, released 2010. In 2007 Chris put the 'band' on hiatus but continued writing and producing, transforming with a new line up and a new album entitled Perennials Alien-sphere, which went on to capture the HMA Rock Recording of the year 2009. Recently, Chris has been making a name for himself as a Producer for some other music projects (Further the Lion, Martin Verrall, Art Carnage) and as a guitarist for Stardust; A David Bowie Tribute. In 2010-11 PERENNIALS added Pete Grove on Bass and Monica is back on the kit. Sick demos are starting to surface and the band plans to release the new material in 2012 in the wake of 2011s epic HMA nominated 'Perennials Red LP' ..
