Raw Talent Mixtapes was started in October of 2010 as a side project of KLG Koncepts now 86K , to showcase the individual artists they had done graphic design for as a means of showcasing the unseen talent.
At the end of 2011, with the help of other companies, BlakFokused Media, Eyez On The Prize Media Group, and Vizual Mekaniks, the biggest release of the series was announced to showcase an entire state. On January 3rd, 2012, Raw Talent Vol. 3: Welcome To South Carolina was released. Quickly it became the best mixtape of the series to date, so in fact 3 companies joined forces to back and keep creating mixtapes a full brand.
86K , the founder of the series enlisted the assistance of BlakFokused Media and Eyez On The Prize Media Group to combine and create "The PowerHouze" to create, promote, and more of the continued success of Raw Talent Mixtapes.
Also just before the release of RTV3, Raw Talent Mixtapes began releasing individual artists mixtapes on the Raw Talent Solo Series. The first artist to enlist in the particular product was South Carolina native, Daw Jones aka Sunni Boi D with The Lost Tapes.
Raw Talent Mixtapes will continue to release the solo series mixtapes as well as the main mixtapes in the future.
