They consist of two different stories, very distinctive paths, but eventually meeting with one dream in mind, to not only become stars, but all around success stories. With a quick listen of any of their material, it’s evident they are definitely built for that.
Tevin Thompson (TK) is confident in what he does. With a strong family structure and consistent assurance in his passions, he is continuing to hone in on all areas music he can master. He won’t stop with nothing short of platinum albums and a Grammy. Appreciating everything the journey has shown him and preparing for everything to come, his story is far from over. Ca$h, also known as Derrin Towsend, had to learn the meaning of hard work while most young people were solely focused on middle school. Working since the tender age of 12, he knows whatever he wants he just has to go for it. That determination has fueled his fire to destroy the industry simply with undeniable hits. The two signed with DTP while still in high school, signifying a memorable moment for both, but only the beginning of what’s to come.
Tk –N- Ca$h are not only gifted, but worthy of the respect. They are gaining admiration along with appreciation from their peers, and even elders. They are showing everyone that you should keep the focus on education, dreams, and family, all the things they value. Ca$h shares his thoughts on what on how he balances his life and dreams here, “I am really proud that I’m in college and obtained my Associates Degree in Business. I’m still working on my Bachelors in Business as well, all while I still push my entertainment career.” For TK, counting wins is the only way to add to them. He shares his sentiments on accomplishments with this, “I’m proud of Tk-N-CA$H and what we’ve become in such a short amount of time. I’m also a song writer and
have three writing placements that I am very happy about. It’s amazing that God has me helping other artists as well.”
Music is infamous for becoming redundant at some point. Same sound, same message, until the usual met the extraordinary skills of this group. Out with the old and in with the new. TK-N-Ca$h are not only forcing the industry to make room for their hits and influence, they’re planning on a very long stay.
